Contributions

Habitat for Humanity depends on the generous support of our many friends and partners to keep house construction costs down, and we always welcome financial contributions. The Board of Directors and volunteers of the eighteen local Habitat for Humanity Maryland affiliates ask that you join us in gratefully acknowledging the generosity of the businesses, organizations, and individuals that support our ongoing work.

Maryland's 18 local affiliates have worked hard over the years to create ongoing reliable sources of financial support for
our mission including:

Through the Fund for Humanity, homeowners' zero-interest mortgage payments are recycled back into building additional houses.
Several affiliates have opened resale stores which offer building materials at greatly reduced prices. Materials are donated to the resale store, or ReStore as some are called, and the money generated from the sale of these materials goes into building more homes.
Some affiliates have partnerships with organizational development and training professionals to provide formal, fee-based team-building sessions. These sessions allow corporations and other organizations to hone their team dynamics while helping to build a home for a neighbor in need.

In addition to building houses with families in our state, each affiliate is requested by Habitat for Humanity International to contribute 10 percent of its undesignated cash donations to build homes with Habitat for Humanity affiliates in developing countries. Because building costs are significantly lower in some countries, your donation makes it possible to build a house in Maryland as well as a house for a family in another part of the world.

Although the sources of income mentioned above are helpful, we are a long way from funding all of our home building activities. With this in mind, we ask you to consider the following ways to add your financial support to our mission. We'd love to hear from you today! Sponsor a Home or Help Sponsor a Home	From $7,000 to $100,000. Please contact your local affiliate or the statewide office for more information.
Become a member of the Carpenter's Club or the Square Foot Club giving club.	From $25 to $70 per house or per month. Please contact your local affiliate for more information.
Donate building materials.	Please contact your local affiliate to determine their current needs
Donate a vehicle to Habitat for Humanity	Please contact the statewide office.
